Who must comply with these terms

By accessing or using ooscf.com and its associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all users of our platform, including the distinct categories below:

  • Volunteers: Agree to abide by OOSCF's code of conduct and confidentiality agreements as a condition of participating in our programmes and activities.
  • Partners: Collaboration terms are outlined in separate partnership agreements entered into with OOSCF. However, general use of the website is governed by these Terms.
  • General Website Visitors & Donors: By using ooscf.com — including browsing, making a donation, or registering an account — you explicitly agree to these Terms of Use.
Note: If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of our website and services immediately. Continued use constitutes ongoing acceptance.

We offer secure, flexible payment options to make supporting our mission as easy as possible. All transactions are processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment partners.

Webhook & Integration: Flutterwave transactions are validated via our secure webhook endpoint. All payment data is encrypted in transit and at rest. OOSCF does not store card data on its servers.

Buy-to-Give Purchases

Products purchased under our "Buy to Give" initiative follow a 30-day, 70% refund policy. Eligible refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the original transaction date, and refunds are processed at 70% of the original payment value.

General Donations

All general monetary donations to OOSCF are non-refundable, as these funds are committed immediately to our ongoing programmes and operations upon receipt.

All content published on ooscf.com, including but not limited to text, articles, reports, photographs, graphics, logos, icons, and software, is the exclusive intellectual property of the Obi Ogbonnia Sickle Cell Foundation or its licensed contributors.

  • Protected Materials: All OOSCF logos, brand marks, programme names, and visual identities are registered trademarks. Unauthorised use, reproduction, or modification is strictly prohibited.
  • Third-Party Content: External text, images, and logos duly referenced on the OOSCF website remain the property of their respective owners and are used under applicable licences or fair use provisions.
  • Permitted Use: You may share links to OOSCF content and cite small extracts for non-commercial, educational, or journalistic purposes, provided you clearly attribute OOSCF as the source.
  • Prohibited Use: Commercial use, reproduction for profit, bulk copying, or any use that could mislead the public about OOSCF's endorsement is expressly forbidden without prior written consent.

Content published on ooscf.com is provided for general informational and awareness purposes only. While OOSCF makes every effort to ensure accuracy, we do not warrant that all information is current, complete, or error-free. Nothing on this site constitutes medical, legal, or financial advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OOSCF shall not be liable for:

  • Website Downtime: Interruptions, outages, or technical errors that may prevent access to the site or payment services.
  • Third-Party Data Breaches: Unauthorised access to data held by our payment processors or third-party service providers.
  • Indirect or Consequential Damages: Any loss of profit, reputation, or data arising from use of or reliance on content on this website.
OOSCF implements industry-standard security practices to protect user data. If you suspect a security incident, contact us immediately at info@ooscf.com.

OOSCF reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to suspend, restrict, or permanently block access to any user or entity found to be in violation of these Terms and Conditions.

Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to:

  • Fraudulent use of the donation platform or misrepresentation of identity.
  • Unauthorised reproduction or commercial use of OOSCF intellectual property.
  • Harassment, abuse, or threatening behaviour directed at OOSCF staff, volunteers, or beneficiaries.
  • Any activity that is illegal under Nigerian law or international statutes.
  • Violation of the volunteer code of conduct or confidentiality agreements.
Termination does not affect any outstanding legal obligations or payment commitments already made by the user prior to the suspension.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including applicable provisions of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, the Nigerian Data Protection Act (NDPA), and the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).

Dispute Resolution

  • Mandatory Arbitration: All disputes arising from or connected to these Terms must first be submitted to binding arbitration before any litigation proceedings may commence.
  • Seat of Arbitration: Arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act (ACA).
  • Language: All arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English.
  • Litigation: Where arbitration does not resolve the dispute, parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
International users acknowledge that by donating or using OOSCF services, they submit to Nigerian jurisdiction for any disputes arising from their use of the platform.

OOSCF reserves the right to update or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time to reflect changes in our programmes, legal requirements, or operational practices.

  • Notice of Changes: Official communication of any updates shall be sent via email to all registered users, volunteers, partners, and donors within 24 hours of the publication date on the OOSCF website.
  • Effective Date: Revised Terms take effect immediately upon publication on ooscf.com unless a later effective date is specified.
  • Your Responsibility: We encourage all users to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of the website following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
  • Version History: Material changes to these Terms will be logged with the date of amendment. Historical versions are available upon request by emailing info@ooscf.com.
